Fraternal Order Of Eagles
Who We Are
The Fraternal Order of Eagles is an International Non-Profit Organization uniting fraternally in the spirit of liberty, truth, justice, and equality, to make human life more desirable by lessening its ills and promoting peace, prosperity, gladness and hope.
Our History
The F.O.E. was founded in February, 1898 by six theater owners gathered in a Seattle, WA shipyard to discuss a musician's strike. After addressing the matter, they agreed to "bury the hatchet" and form "The Order of Good Things." As numbers grew, members selected the Bald Eagle as the official emblem and changed the name to "The Fraternal Order of Eagles." The women's auxiliary traces its roots to 1927.
New Membership Info and Application
New prospective members must complete an Application form and get two (2) members in good standing (male for the Aerie, female for Auxiliary) to sponsor you. If you don't know anyone that can sponsor you, you must contact the Secretary and he/she will sign as sponsor.
Once the application is received, a background check will be done. You will get a postcard in the mail telling you what date to come in for an interview with the interviewing committee. At this time your dues for the year will be collected. This will also be noted on the postcard.
The Grand Aerie has recently changed the dates for our dues collection. All dues will now begin on June 1 and end on May 31 of the following year.
Mens $25 Initiation Fee | $30 Yearly Dues
Womens $20 Initiation Fee | $26 Yearly Dues
Initiation fees and Dues are paid in person when submitting the application.
Upcoming Events
It is great to be an Eagle!
The Aerie and Grand Aerie has many benefits for members. You have excess to over 1400 locations across the US and Canada. Under the members only section, members can sign up for a variety of discounts and benefits through affinity partners. The Aerie voted to make 35 year members "Golden Age Eagles". This resulted in allowing 371 members to only pay the per capita tax to the Grand Aerie and basically get dues at near half price (cost to Aerie was $5,565.00). The Aerie continues to support our community by donating over $200,00.00 annually to many charities. Most local sports teams get money from the F.O.E. We are also the main sponsor of the holiday parade here in Carlisle PA. The Grand Aerie gives millions of dollars each year to various charities that come from common funds.
